Utila, Honduras
April 12-26, 2008
In a combined effort with Amazing Seals, we are organizing a trip to Utila, Honduras. April 12-26, 2008, we will be staying at a small resort (seven double rooms in all), with great access to the Caribbean Sea, a Coral Reef (the second largest in the world), and abundant Whale Sharks.
We are ready for our group trip to Utila, a tiny, isolated island off the coast of
Honduras. Do not let the size fool you--it is the second-largest coral reef in the
world. Utila is also a setting for frequent sightings of whale sharks; it is a home to
Whale Shark Oceanic Research Center (WSORC, http://www.wsorc.com).
Utila is relatively remote, but its isolation is where we find its charm. It is a great place to
avoid tourist crowds and stay where the ocean splashes at your bedroom window.
The resort we will be staying at is a small one, with 7 double rooms available
during this week. If we fill all of the rooms at the resort, the boat and the resort are
ours to do with what we please.
We believe that dive trips are a great opportunity to broaden your perspective and
knowledge as a diver. This trip is designed to do just that. Bay Island College of
Diving and WSORC will offer a wide variety of classes and certifications for our
group. We will also have an HSA instructor on this trip.
